What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy improves movement, function, and well-being through exercise, manual therapy, and education. It manages pain, aids recovery, enhances mobility, and prevents future issues. Physiotherapists treat all ages, addressing musculoskeletal, neurological, and respiratory conditions.

During a treatment the physiotherapist will make an initial assessment, develop a treatment plan which may include a combination of manual therapy & a home exercise program.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to see a therapist unless you are planning to claim through Veteran's Affairs, Work Cover, Medicare, CTP or another insurance.

If you have copies of any relevant radiology scans or reports, please bring them along or let reception know so we can look them up.

Do you accept private health?
Yes we do. We have a HICAPS machine on site so make sure you bring your physical card or have it set up in your phone's wallet or fund app. If you forget your card on the day, the full fee will need to be paid but we will give you an invoice to claim with your health fund later.

Does medicare cover physiotherapy?
Medicare does not cover physiotherapy unless you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan from your GP (previously known as Enhance Primary Care Plan). This plan entitles you to up to 5 subsidised treatments in a calendar year.
Where are you located?
Coolum clinic - while our address is 23C/21 Birtwill Street, our shop front is on Heathfield Road, next door to Compound Surf & Drink Coffee.

Maroochy Waters - we share the building with QML pathology, next door to Maroochy Waters Medical Practice at 24 Denna Street.
Where can I park?
Coolum clinic - there is street parking on Heathfield Rd & William Street. Alternatively, there is parking in the complex behind our building (use driveway to left of our clinic).​
Maroochy Waters - we have a private car park on site - just turn left at the roundabout.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
We ask any appointments be cancelled 24hrs prior to your appointment to avoid charges. We also send out reminder texts the day before your appointment.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement and access to the area being treated.
We also have towels available for added privacy if need be.
